Curriculum

Module 1

Scratch Programming for Beginners

MIT Scratch is a block-based programming language created for kids. It uses a drag-and-drop interface, making it easy for kids to master even without programming background. With basic computer programming concepts such as loops, and if-then-else, functions, kids can start building their own animations, stories, and games.

Module 2

Intermediate Scratch: Extending Into Games

Students will develop mastery of existing coding concepts and discover new and more complex ones on the way. We will dive into the art of programming animations with Scratch as a component of game design and development, and learn about the nature of gameplay and game design.

Module 3

Artificial Intelligence with Scratch

AI is becoming more important in almost all industries nowadays. For example, AI can be used to support diagnostics in the medical field, and the use of robots can replace strenuous tasks by humans in industrial applications. Kids will be exposed to a number of AI applications on Scratch and understand how AI can be applied to real life.
